Viewing Data Results

Summary

This guide explains how to view and query environmental data in ENFOS after an EDD has been imported successfully. It covers viewing the EDD files themselves, viewing lab, field, and groundwater elevation data on the Results page, and viewing sample points and their data on a map. Only EDDs in Lab status appear in results; EDDs in Fixup Required status do not.

Viewing EDD Files

To view the individual laboratory or field EDD files that were imported:

  1. Navigate to the site (level 17) or AOC (level 20) in the hierarchy.
  2. Go to Inventory > Scientific Data > Imports and select your EDD type (EDD or Field). The EDDs uploaded for the site or AOC appear on this page.
  3. To view an EDD, click Actions > View. If the EDD format has multiple files, each shows as a different tab on this page. Cells with errors are shown in red and must be fixed before the EDD moves to Lab status. Orange cells are warnings and are not required to be fixed.
  4. To view errors in an EDD, click the dropdown menu for Errors to see the different error types for the selected file.
  5. To export an EDD, click Export at the top right of the page. This downloads all files associated with the EDD.
  6. To view EDD metadata, go to the EDD list and click the EDD Reference ID. The EDD Summary lists the uploaded files, including any additional backup documentation associated with the EDD.

Viewing Data Results

The Results page (Inventory > Scientific Data > Results) is for viewing and querying lab, field, and groundwater elevation data results at the site (level 17) or AOC (level 20). Each data type has its own tab.

Lab Data

The Results page opens to the Lab Data tab by default and shows results for any lab data EDDs in Lab status in a tabular format. Options are also available to view lab data trend analyses and other metrics.

You can filter lab data by:

  • Sample Date
  • Analyte
  • Sample Point
  • Sample Type
  • Field Matrix

Non-detect results can be viewed and queried using the RDL Multiplier and Result Type filters.

You can also compare lab data results to a defined standard for the current hierarchy using the Standard Name filter. Once a standard is selected, any results that exceed the standard's criteria are shown in red.

Field Data

The Field Data tab shows results for any field data EDDs in Lab status in a tabular format, with an option to view field data trend analyses.

You can filter field data by:

  • Measurement Date
  • Result Type
  • Sample Point
  • Result Unit (currently applies to the Trend Analysis view only)

Groundwater Elevation Data

The Groundwater Data tab shows the corrected water elevation for any wells that have depth-to-water (DTW) and depth-to-product (DTP) field measurements, in a tabular format, with an option to view field data trend analyses.

The corrected water elevation is derived from the top of casing (TOC) elevation of the sample point, the depth-to-water and depth-to-product measurements, and the LNAPL density. ENFOS also calculates the product thickness and the LNAPL elevation. The calculations are:

  • TOC: Defined by the user in the Sample Point summary.
  • LNAPL Density: Defined by the user in the Sample Point summary.
  • Product Thickness = DTW - DTP if DTP > 0, otherwise 0.
  • LNAPL Elevation = TOC - DTP.
  • Corrected Water Elevation = (TOC - DTW) + [(DTW - DTP) * LNAPL Density].

You can filter groundwater data by:

  • Measurement Date
  • Sample Point

Viewing Sample Points and Data on a Map

  1. Navigate to the site or AOC in the hierarchy.
  2. Navigate to Inventory > Portfolio > Maps.
  3. Select the Sample Points check box in the right-hand panel (Layer Manager). If you have sample points at the site or AOC, they appear on the map. You may need to zoom in.
  4. For sample points without X-Y coordinates defined, click the Geocoder icon in the right-hand panel and select the Sample Points check box. Any sample points without coordinates are listed and can be geocoded from this page.
  5. To view EDD data on the map, click Filter Data under Sample Points, select the desired filters for lab or field data in the popup window, and click Go.

Common Questions

Why is my data not showing up on the Results page? Confirm you loaded it into the correct site or AOC, and that the EDD is in Lab status. Data from an EDD in Fixup Required status will not appear.

How do I export results? On the Results page, apply your filters, click the three dots in the tabular view, and choose Download to export in your preferred format.

Why do some sample points not appear on the map? They may be missing X-Y coordinates. Use the Geocoder in the Layer Manager to identify and locate points without coordinates.
